Molly McCloskey is a short story writer and novelist. She has published two collections of short stories, Solomon's Seal (Phoenix House, 1997) and The Beautiful Changes (Lilliput Press, 2002), and a novel Protection (Penguin, 2005). Her short stories have won numerous prizes including the RTE Francis MacManus Award. She was short-listed for the 2009 Davy Byrne Short Story Award. She is a regular contributor to the Irish Times and to the Dublin Review, and is currently Writer Fellow at Trinity College for the 2009-2010 academic year. Originally from Philadelphia, Molly now lives in Dublin, where she is completing a non-fiction book on schizophrenia and the family.
