The Irish Writers’ Centre has been a key player in Ireland’s literary life for almost twenty years. It is at the heart of Dublin city both geographically and creatively. Becoming a member not only gives you access to a range of literary benefits, but also helps to ensure that this treasured cultural resource continues to exist, providing an irreplaceable nucleus for Ireland's writers in the years to come.

Membership Benefits

Members of the Irish Writers' Centre will play a key role in the future of the organisation. Membership secures access to the Centre's library, communal workspaces and wireless internet facilities. Tea and coffee are always available for members wishing to meet at the Centre to exchange ideas or work on their manuscripts in our intimate, book-lined reception room. The Centre not only has an extensive library, but also a wide selection of literary journals and publications for perusal. In the future, the Centre plans to make its extensive collection of audio-visual resources available, including recordings of past greats reading and performing.

The centre is open to our members from 10am to 6pm Monday to Saturday for drop-in, as well as each evening for our programme of readings, workshops and launches. We make sure our members find out first about events and courses happening at the Centre.

In the very near future, the Irish Writers' Centre will be hosting a special evening exclusively for our members. The event will be a chance to meet and chat with other writers and members, to explore the centre and all it has to offer and to discuss the future of the Centre and how it can best meet the needs of Ireland's writers. Details on this event will be listed on the website soon.

Membership costs €50 and can be purchased online or by calling the Centre.
