Some Design Tips

We've spent the last year rejuvenating the Centre, it has been completely revived with a new website, new staff, and a new program of events.  We want something unique to reflect our fresh outlook.  The Irish Writers' Centre supports and promotes contemporary Irish writing, its main focus is writers that are alive and breathing today.

As we're going for something new, variations of our old logo will probably not win this competition.  We have no set colour scheme in mind and have no particular attachment to the old colours so the designer has free reign.

Flexibility is a key requirement, including the need to resize easily and to look good in black and white as well as colour. The final version of the logo will need to be suitable for high quality printing.

*Due to the requirements for high quality printing and re-sizing Entries must submitted in scalable vector graphic format (EPS). We advise against the use of halftones and gradients unless created inside a vector graphics programme. Colour in this version must be CMYK, no spot colors.

JPGs 1000 pixels square of the logo is also requested so that entries can be posted to the web site without the need for conversion.
